Before launching into the performance, Unnamed Broadway Musical audition footage was screened, providing the audience with rare insight into the cast's ranging backgrounds, personal goals and points of view, as well as some very telling foreshadowing ...

"What's the name of that song again? The one I can't stop thinking of?..."

The cast performs the first song and dance number--the  Unnamed Broadway Musical: The Musical! theme song.

Introducing Orphan Pluck, the energetic optimist, always trying to lift the spirits of his orphan siblings.

Mistress Millie explains to the orphans that gruel has many nutritional benefits.

Bernice discovers the trumpet and it inspires her to put her energy into the arts rather than her anger.

Spud sings "Lammie I can't take you off my hand." It is so hard for him to separate from his reliable childhood companion.
