Carolyn Salas

Carolyn Salas (b.Hollywood, California) is a sculptor and installation artist based in New York.  She has exhibited works widely in the USA as well as internationally at Urbis City Center, Manchester (2009), Gallery Nordine Zidoun, Luxembourg (2009), Priska Juschka Fine Art, New York (2007), Art Space, Connecticut (2009), Silly Thing Gallery, Hong Kong (2008), The Hudson Valley for Contemporary Art, New York (2008), Parisian Laundry, Montreal (2009), the Berkshire Museum, Massachusetts (2009) and The Elizabeth Foundation Gallery, New York (2011). Salas has attended the Vermont Studio Center, Santa Fe Art Institute, Blue Mountain Center, Jentel Artist Residency, Djerassi Art Residency and was a two year recipient of the Chashama Studio Program.  She was recently awarded a residency at Franconia Sculpture Park, Minnesota (2011), and is a new recipient of the studio residency program at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, New York (2011-2013). Salas will be included in the exhibitions "Everything Must Go" at Casey Kaplan Gallery, New York (2011), “The Unseen” at the Torrance Art Museum, California (2011) and will present a new outdoor project for “In Back of The Real” at the International Studio and Curatorial Project, New York (2011).
