Residency for Arts Workers as Artists
Sean Carroll is an arts administrator, currently working on the Artist Residencies team at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
We asked each resident to tell us about their work and their experience during the residency, and more about their professional lives as both artists and arts workers. Here are Sean's answers...

On Friday, August 13th, the pilot Residency for Arts Workers as Artists commenced! The eight participants and EFA Project Space staff met in the collective studio (converted EFA Project Space gallery) to break bread and share ideas.
After a delicious thai meal and some scrumptious homemade desserts, the participating artists were each asked to present something to the group as a means to provide insight into what they are thinking about now, and what they plan on working on.
Some of the artists brought in projects they are working on, while others shared images and links to past projects, or other sources of inspiration. The full list of participants are:
Tova Carlin, Sean Carroll, Paul Clay, Chantel Foretich, Felicity Hogan, Sebastien Sanz de Santamaria, Amber Hawk Swanson, and Beatrice Wolert.
