Project Space Admins

I am pleased to share the news that as I begin my sixth year as Director of EFA Project Space, I also begin the pursuit of my MFA degree in Digital and Interdisciplinary Art Practice at City College of NY. I am grateful to EFA for offering the encouragement and flexibility that allows me to continue my meaningful work with the Project Space while taking this essential time to invest in my artistic practice.

We have assembled an excellent team to keep things in motion at EFA Project Space during this process: Lauren Bierly assumes a new position as Assistant Director, and Claire Barliant joins us as Curatorial Advisor (see brief bios below). With Lauren and Claire on board, along with our newly empowered Advisory Committee, our program is prepared to make leaps and bounds in the future.

Lauren Bierly, now with EFA Project Space for two and a half years, is an artist and arts administrator with prior administrative and technical experience at organizations like Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, Museum of Arts and Design, Christie's, and Johnsrud & Associates Architects, LLC among other places.

Claire Barliant is a critic and curator whose writing has appeared in Artforum, Art in America, the New Yorker, and other places. Her most recent exhibition is "Kool-Aid Wino," a group show exploring the possibilities of error as part of the artistic process, on view through September 29th at Franklin Street Works in Stamford, CT.

Warmly,

Michelle Levy, Director

EFA Project Space
